This study examined the participation of African American farmers in USDA programs. Using semi-structured interviews, the researcher focuses on the factors that contribute to the involvement of African American farmers in USDA programs. The findings of the qualitative study highlight issues and challenges that African American farmers face when participating in USDA programs.
