The Africa Academy of Management invites its members to participate in this
PDW on “TIME TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR: PRODUCING MANAGEMENT THEORY AND KNOWLEDGE FOR AFRICA.” The theme of this year’s meeting, ‘Building High Performing Organizations in Africa’, suggests the need for reflection on how management knowledge can be advanced to transform Africa. The growing calls for decoloniality necessitates discussion of how management scholarship can not only contribute to the discourse but also transforming the continent. Therefore, the intent of the PDW is for participants to share ideas on how management theory and knowledge can be produced. Reflections focus on not only the state of management education and scholarship in Africa but also opportunities and constraints for research.
