Globally there is a search for models of leadership that will lead organizations to achieve high performance. The focus has generally on relevant and effective leadership as the solution to providing organizational progress. Many leadership theories have been fronted as a solution. Servant leadership theory has gained prominence in the recent past due to its core principle of serving others. The global perspective of this approach to leadership is that the interaction between leader and follower is a key element which brings in the leader part and service part in the servant. The motivating factor of service creates a strong bond between the leader and employees within the organization which positively influence organization performance. The findings revealed that servant leadership can lead to positive and significant effect on employee performance which can translate to organizational progress.
