Lori Murray-Hawkins

University of New Brunswick

After graduating from UNB with a BSc in Computer Science, Lori Murray-Hawkins began her career in IT as a programmer in institutional research at UBC. She returned to Fredericton and UNB as the system administrator for the brand new ERP being implemented. Rolling forward almost 20 years and past a number of roles within ITS, Lori currently has the pleasure of leading the Enterprise Solutions team as director; responsible for technical operations & architects and contributing to the implementation and planning of strategic goals. As portfolio manager for ITS, Lori is also responsible for receiving, assessing, and staffing projects that require ITS resources. As a lifelong data geek, her work wouldn’t be complete without the task of developing and leading the implementation of a data governance framework at UNB. Living in a very small hamlet (population 12) 50 km outside of Fredericton provides a change of pace and lots of time each day during her commute to ponder the wonders of the world.
