Seychelle Cushing is the manager of strategic initiatives and operations for KEY, SFU’s Big Data Initiative. In this role, she is responsible for the development and delivery of this university-wide initiative. Through this work, she is helping SFU increase its impact as a leader in data science research and innovation, engaging our stakeholders and students, and telling the story of the SFU people behind the data. She obtained her MA with distinction from the Department of Political Science at SFU, where her research focused on how the US can leverage cyberspace to enhance its national security.

Enhancing the human experience through bridging digital and physical environments is what fuels Trevor Roald’s passion. This passion and his love for technology has led him to become a recognized subject matter expert and thought-leader in the development of innovative technology solutions that improve the way people connect and drive strategic results.In his role at SFU, Trevor helps, both internal and external, partners understand how big data and data science impact their business and how they can leverage data-driven insights to enhance organizational efficiency. When he’s not driving innovation or speaking at conferences, you’re likely to find this recent Management of Technology MBA grad renovating his off-the-grid cabin or chasing waves at the beach with his wife and young daughter.
