Agile as a key for Enterprise Applications services improvement

I am a Senior Systems Analyst and Scrum Master at Enterprise Application team within Information and Communications Technologies department at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am responsible for implementation of Agile development methodology, taking ownership on the Agile processes and leading sprint planning, standups, retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to joining Laurier's ICT Department in 2016, I have been working as System and Business Analyst in engineering and manufacturing environments. I have 12 years of experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide information systems with broad exposure to different development techniques and approaches. Over the span of the past 5 years I experienced in Agile development techniques leading several improvement projects. The top of the crown was implementation of mission critical data management system while utilizing Agile methodology and accelerating the completion of transition from legacy to a modern web-based system within less than a year.

I am a System Analyst at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), part of the Enterprise Applications team with the Information and Communications Technologies department. I led our first pilot version control (VC) pilot, maintain the VC and work on increasing and improving use of VC in our department. I have also been heavily involved in the creation of the Services group within our team.I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science from WLU, and returned as an employee in 2016. In the interim, I worked in the private sector on a mix of ERP and full-stack web application development. Most recently, I worked for a startup where I introduced the use of version control and gained experience with the Agile management approach and a variety of supporting tools.
