IT Architecture - describing the value, building the practice

Adam Gerhard is Director of Planning and Governance at the University of Manitoba. Included in his portfolio is the Project Management Office and Architecture practice along with IT Strategy. Previous to Higher Education Adam was a Systems Architect with IBM where he worked with many large clients primarily in the Government, Insurance and Finance sectors. Adam holds a BCSc and an MBA. Mario Lebar is the Chief Information Officer for the University of Manitoba. Mario is responsible for the vision and leadership of the University of Manitoba’s information technology strategy. He ensures that IT enables the University of Manitoba’s strategic plan around its pillars of teaching and learning, discovery, indigenous achievement, building community and forging connections, through effective IT governance structures, IT security standards and policies, overall IT architecture, and appropriate compliance and risk management activities. Mario holds an B.A., LL.B. and MBA.
