A novel high step-up DC/DC converter named Integrated Boost-2Zeta converter is proposed and thoroughly analyzed in this paper. This converter is obtained from the combination of two techniques to improve the DC/DC converters voltage conversion ratio that are (i) the additive auto-transformer
connection of the coupled-inductor applied to the Zeta converter; and (ii) the integration of DC/DC converters with series connected outputs applied to the modified Zeta with the boost converter. Since the integration technique combines the Zeta and boost converter input sections, both shares the same
input inductor and the switch, reducing the component count. Furthermore, the integrated converter presents the combined features of both standard DC/DC converters, which are low input current ripple (boost feature) and low output current ripple (Zeta feature). Experimental results obtained from a laboratory for the proposed converter are presented and they confirm the theoretical analyses.
