Unesp - Univ Estadual Paulista

Dr. Marafão received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (1998) from Univ Estadual Paulista (UNESP) and the Master’s (2000) and PhD (2004) degrees from University of Campinas (UNICAMP), both in Brazil. He held in 2002, a visitor student position at University of Padova (Italy). Since 2005, he is an Assistant Professor at Univ Estadual Paulista, in Sorocaba, Brazil. During 2013 he held a visiting scholar position at Colorado School of Mines (USA). His current interests are mainly concerned with power definitions under non-sinusoidal and unbalanced conditions, accountability, revenue metering and digital processing techniques for power electronics and power quality applications. Mr. Marafão is a member of the Brazilian Power Electronics Society (SOBRAEP), Brazilian Automatic Society (SBA) and IEEE.

Abstract
