Marcos Aurelio Izumida Martins received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianopolis, Brazil, in 2005 and 2006, respectively. He is currently a Project Coordinator at CERTI Foundation. From 2006 to 2012, he worked with industry, including design, coordination, planning and execution of civil works, erection and commissioning of substations and power plants at Reivax - Automation & Control and Toshiba South America Infrastructure Ltd. in Brazil and Latin America.He is also a doctoral graduate program in electrical engineering at UFSC/INEP - Institute of Power Electronics.His research interests include Power Electronics, Microgrid and Smart grid solutions.
