Clovis A. Petry was born in São Miguel do Oeste, Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 1972. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, Brazil, in 1999, 2001, and 2005, respectively.He is currently a Professor with the Electronics Department, Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina, Florianopolis. His areas of interest are ac-ac converters, line conditioners, and control of those converters.
