Paulo C. A. da Mata was born in Itabira, Brazil, in 1986. He graduated in electrical engineering from the Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto in 2015, is currently pursuing Master with an emphasis on power electronics at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He worked with maintenance of electric mining shovels at Vale SA for five years.
