PGS, E.ON ERC, RWTH Aachen University
Marco Stieneker studied electrical power engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany and at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. He received the diploma degree from RWTH Aachen in 2010. Since June 2010 he with Prof. Rik De Doncker at the Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems (PGS) at E.ON ERC as research assistant. In October 2014 he became chief engineer at PGS. His research interests are wind energy converter systems, grid connection of battery energy storage systems, high-power dc-dc converter and dc transmission and distribution.
Abstract
Electrical energy distribution with dc grids reduces the investment costs of the system and increases the overall efficiency. For interconnecting different dc distribution grids as well as linkage to transmission networks and... [ view full abstract ]
