Carlos A. Reusser was born in ViƱa del Mar, Chile, in 1974. He received the B.S. degree in Naval Electrical Engineering from the Naval Polytechnic Academy (APOLINAV), Chile, in 2001, the Masters in Asset Management degree from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria (UTFSM), Chile, in 2010 and the M.Sc. degree in Power Electronics from the same University, in 2014. Since 2013 he has been working towards his Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics.Since 2011, he has been a Lecturer in the Naval Engineering School and since 2015 in Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria.His main research interests include the sensorless control of AC Drives, Wind Energy Convertion Systems, Matrix Converters, Power Converters, Sliding Mode Control and adaptive algorithms for sensorless control of drives.
