Maikel F. Menke was born in Três de Maio, Brazil, in 1989. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Santa Maria, Brazil, in 2015. He has worked with power electronics at UFSM since 2009, where he is currently working toward the M.S. degree. He is with the Electronic Ballast Research Group (GEDRE) - Intelligence in Lighting, since 2009, and Electrical and Computational Systems Research and Development Group (GSEC) since 2010. His research interests include dc/dc converters, power factor corrections stages, resonant converters, self-oscillating systems, discharge lamps, LED drivers, dimming systems, and lighting systems.
Abstract
This paper presents an improved design approach for the self-oscillating command circuit, suitable for high self-sustained frequency, where the influence of the MOSFET gate-to-source capacitance is considered. The operation at... [ view full abstract ]
