Differentiating wetland and open water surfaces using optical and SAR remote sensing

Ethan Kyzivat is a PhD student in the Brown University Department of Earth, Environmental & Planetary Sciences. Advised by Dr. Larry Smith, he studies glacial and polar hydrological environments using remote sensing.  In summer 2018, he will work on two field campaigns on the North Saskatchewan River and in Peace-Athabasca Delta.  Ethan earned his B.S. from Yale in physics.  He spent two years working as a hydrological technician at the Yale School of Forestry.
