Andrew Sherin is the Director of the COINAtlantic Secretariat. COINAtlantic promotes integrated coastal and ocean management and data sharing. He is a member of the International Coastal Atlas Network Steering Group and the CoastGIS International Science Committee. This position follows 35 years as a physical scientist with Natural Resources Canada as a data management and GIS expert applied to marine geoscience and coastal process research.

This session will introduce Natural Resources Canada’s newest Climate Change Adaptation assessment report, Canada in a Changing Climate: Advancing Our Knowledge into Action. The knowledge assessment objectives and process will be presented. The proposed Table of Contents will be revealed. A panel will present their experiences with climate change adaptation to foster the sharing of delegates’ experiences during discussion. A facilitated discussion will solicit climate change adaptation case studies and experiences that may be used in the development of the Atlantic Canada Perspectives Chapter.
