Kendra MacDonald is a Partner in Deloitte's Atlantic Risk Advisory practice and is based in St. John's, NL. As of January 2017, Kendra is also the Chief Audit Executive of Deloitte Global. The Risk Advisory practice within Deloitte is focused on "helping clients manage risk and uncertainty from the Boardroom to the network". Kendra is also the Lead Client Service Partner for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and is responsible for all Deloitte services provided to Government. Kendra specializes in the areas of governance, cybersecurity, internal audit, information technology audit, internal control certification, privacy and risk management. Kendra has worked with a number of clients across multiple industries, small and large, public and private.
As a member of Deloitte's National Innovation Council, Kendra is committed to raising awareness around the impact of exponential technologies including: 3D printing, sensors and networks, robotics, digital medicine, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The world is moving from linear growth to exponential growth in technology and this creates lots of opportunities to build exponential organizations from anywhere in the world. This is great news for technology companies and the technology sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. Kendra is a frequent speaker and panelist on the topics of innovation and disruptive technologies. In 2015-2016, Kendra co-led the establishment of Deloitte's Greenhouse in Montreal - an interactive and immersive meeting space and led a number of workshops on strategy and building innovation culture.
Kendra is also committed to trying to build the community of women in technology and particularly girls in technology to build diversity within the technology community and future opportunities for girls in a technology sector that will continue to build worldwide.
Kendra has been with Deloitte for over 20 years and has had the opportunity to live and work in Ottawa, Montreal, Russia, Australia, Hong Kong and the United States before joining the Deloitte practice in St. John's in 2010.
