Student feedback has highlighted a lack of confidence and competence in manual handling skills, despite participation in skills for health e-learning and practical training in university. A promising unique manual handling online system, encompassing nine systems within one has been developed with the government agenda “do more with less”. This study explores the ability of this alternative system to significantly improve skills and confidence, reducing risk and potentially influencing the future of manual handling across a range of healthcare professions.
