All-solid-state inorganic electrochromic device processed by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis

Geoffroy Bister

Belgian Ceramic Research Centre

Geoffroy Bister is currently working as project leader at the Belgian Ceramic Research. He earned his Bachelor of Chemistry at University of Namur, Belgium in 1999, and his PhD in Chemistry in 2004 in the same university, working with Prof. Jànos B.Nagy. His thesis work was on the catalytic chemical vapor deposition synthesis of single walled carbon nanotubes. He was the first to obtain by CCVD nanotubes with an elastic modulus of 1 TPa. He co-authored the patent that lead to the creation of the society NANOCYL, specialized in the production of carbon nanotubes. He is currently working in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials where he is acting as a "Swiss army knife", notably active on SPS sintering, additive manufacturing, synthesis of photocatalytic nano-layers, nanomaterials standardization and development of solid electrolytes for electrochromic device. He is secretary of the Belgian Ceramic Society since 2010 and is open to discussion and to potential collaboration. Do not hesitate !

Abstract

Some metal oxides present electrochromic properties which means that their optical transmittance can be modified by the effect of insertion or extraction of electrical charges. These materials may be integrated in... [ view full abstract ]
