Microstructure engineering to improve the multiferroic behavior in Ti, RE co-doped BiFeO3 ceramics (RE = Sm or Nd)

Carlos Gumiel

POEMMA-CEMDATIC ETSI Telecomunicación (UPM)

I earned my bachelors in chemistry in 2013 and one year later I finished my master degree in nanomaterials at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2015 I started my PhD at Universidad Polutécnica de Madrid which was focused in the obtaining of BiFeO3 based thin films obtained in an aqueous medium. My PhD was defended in april 2018. I am carring out a post-doctoral position since them at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in collaboration with the Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio (CSIC) in Madrid.

Abstract

The obtaining of single-phase BiFeO3 based multiferroic materials with an effective functional response and a low leakage current still represents a major challenge. One of the most commonly resorted strategies for improving... [ view full abstract ]
