Using qualitative interviews, this paper investigates organizational trustworthiness and dependent stakeholder relations. Utilising the case-study of a concrete plant situated in Greece, we investigate the opinions the local community, seen as the low-power dependent stakeholder, concerning operational decisions made by the case-study firm. Our findings revealed that the dependent stakeholder - organization relationship is closely linked and even based on stakeholder perceptions of organizational trust. CSR, reciprocity and expectations emerged as lay representations of organizational trustworthiness by the dependent stakeholder.
