Water is an indispensable requirement for all living things as it is essential to life and without which there will be no life. The supply of safe drinking water has not been reliable in Nigeria which results in adverse effect on human metabolism and eventually health deterioration. This scarcity therefore induced the need for development of locally sourced alternative and affordable drinking water busuinesses that will ensure accessibility and sustainability of water supply. One of the evidence of such developments is the drinking water sold in polythene sachets and plastic bottles which uses various methods, techniques and technologies to treat and package.Majority of people depend on this sachet water for their daily potable water need which has given rise to indiscriminate disposal of the sachet wastes all over the city and has become a major threat to human life. The study seeks to examine the environmental impact of indiscriminate sachet water wastes disposal on the Residential Neighborhood quality in Minna. Simple random sampling technique was adopted where household heads where interviewed on their consumption rate and disposal methods, the awareness of health implication of sachet waste water disposal and any health relatked problems as a result of the indiscriminate disposal of sachet water waste. Regression analysis to investigate the relationship between the health related ailments was conducted. The study revealed that the respondents dispose their sachet water waste indiscrimately along drainage channels, open spaces, road networks and other available spaces. The result revealed that there is a positive relationship between sachet waste water disposal with asthma, nausea, typhoid and dermatological problems. For an aesthetic, healthy livable environment, residents should dispose sachet water waste in a manner that is pleasing to man and his environment. Study recommends public enlightenment on sorting and proper disposal method.
