In this article, we verify the methods used to increase performance (i.e., in-role and organizational performance) through an individual’s Confucian values and organizational management styles (i.e., public service motivation (PSM)-oriented management and Entrepreneurship-orientation (EO) management values). Drawing on data from the “Public Sector Entrepreneurship Survey,” we confirmed that Confucian values can increase in-role and organizational performance in the Korean public sector. Second, PSM and EO management values that developed in Western contexts also enhance in-role and organizational performance. Third, we confirmed that management and organizational values developed by Western countries still could not integrate with an individual’s Confucian values. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings for Korean human resource management and organization theory and practice.
