Avances y retrocesos en relación al abordaje legal del abuso sexual infantile/Advancements and Backslidings regarding the legal approach of child sexual abuse

Federal Judge. Chair of the Federal Criminal Court N° 1 from La Plata, Buenos Aires Province. Founding member of the Argentine Association for Preventing Child-Youth Violence (ASAMPI). Founding member of the Democratic Justice Forum (FOJUDE). Professor of postgraduate courses in the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires and Universidades Nacionales de La Plata and Mar del Plata. Professor of courses about mistreatment and gender violence in the la Universidad Nacional a Distancia (UNED), Spain. Teacher at judges and prosecutors training programs in Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Honduras. Author of several studies and co-author of books published both in Argentina and abroad. Author of the book "Child Sexual Abuse. Silence or Report?”.

Author of the law 25,852 that modified the Code of Criminal Procedures of Argentina. This law regulates children statements in police stations or courts. He was awarded the "B´NAI B´RITH HUMAN RIGHTS” 2007. He was also awarded by the Justice Association of Buenos Aires in 2007 for his performance in trials about violations against human rights in 2007. The Confederation of Educational Workers of Argentina (CTERA) gave him the "Master of Life Tribute 2008”. He was recognized by the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina for his performance in trials of crimes against humanity. He was declared Distinguished Citizen of Cipolleti in 2013. He is the member of the Council of Notables of the Coordinating Committee for the Elaboration of Sanctions against Gender Violence (CONSAVIG) of the Ministry of Justice. Medal of Honor of the National Congress of Argentina by his work in trials for crimes against humanity (2012)
