Consultant obstetrician in S. Martino University Hospital, currently teaching Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Genoa University Medical School. In 2000 she created, and was the Head of, the first Italian alongside Birth Centre. She is actively involved in innovative medical education projects and in promoting normal birth culture.
