The presentation will focus on human-induced threats along the migratory path of the lesser spotted eagle, a species of special concern for Germany. Their population contains only about 100 breeding pairs in Germany, which lies on the Western border of the eagle's population. Wintering in Africa, this species encounters a number of human-induced threats along its migratory path, from illegal hunting to habitat losses. Increasing the awareness in all countries along the corridor about these threats might be a solution to achieve the long-term survival of the German population.
