Maxi Pia Louis has dedicated her life to the environment and protecting it while also developing strategies to improve the lives of Namibian people through tourism. In 1995 she was a founding member of the Namibian Community Based Tourism Association. Director of the Namibian Association of CBNRM Support Organisations (NACSO), member of the International Advisory Board Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), and a leader in the development and implementation of Namibia’s celebrated community-based natural resource management policies.
