Marcio Mendes Casaro was born in Assis, Brazil, in 1972. He received the B.S. degree from Unilins - School of Engineering, Lins, Brazil, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil, all in electrical engineering, in 1994, 1996 and 2009, respectively. He has been working for Federal University of Technology - UTFPR since 1997 as a lecturer of the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the Brazilian Power Electronics Society. His research interests include power electronics converters and their applications.
