Sidney Gierschner studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Rostock. In 2011 he received his Diploma. Since then he is working at the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering of the University of Rostock. In 2017 he received his PhD. The primary focus of his research work is multilevel converters and converter control.
