Jonathan Kimball received a BS from Carnegie Mellon in 1994, MS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996, and Ph.D. from Illinois in 2007. He previously worked at Motorola, Baldor, and SmartSpark Energy Systems. Since 2008, he has been on the faculty at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. His research interests include grid-tied power converters, microgrids, cyber-physical systems, and switched-capacitor converters.
