A Progressive Switching Scheme for Solid State DC Circuit Breakers

Landon Mackey

North Carolina State University

Landon Mackey received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the M.S. degree in electric power systems engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2015 and 2016, respectively, where he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. He operated nuclear submarines as a Nuclear Electrician in the U.S. Navy; designed and tested modular multilevel power converters at ABB Corporate Research Center, Dattwil, Aargau, Switzerland; and launched a dc fast charge system at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, MI, USA. He is currently a Research  assistant with the Future Renewable Electric Energy Deliver and Management Systems Center, Raleigh. His research interests include low voltage and medium voltage dc circuit protection, and dc microgrid design.
