Algorithm for Virtual Synchronous Machine Phase Resynchronization

Joseph Petti

University of Pittsburgh

Joseph Petti recently completed his M.S. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh for his B.S. in electrical engineering, which he completed in the spring of 2016. During his time in undergraduate studies, Mr. Petti interned for the DOE and co-oped with Eaton. Mr. Petti has interned for Dominion Virginia Power the past two summers, working on projects related to microgrid islanding protection. His research focuses on the transient behavior and recovery of synchronverters while grid connected and in island mode.
