Zakariya Dalala (S’13–M’14) received the B.S. degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan, the M.S. degree from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, and the Ph.D. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2005, 2009, and 2014 respectively, all in electrical engineering. From 2010 to 2014, he was a Graduate Research Assistant with the Future Energy Electronics Center (FEEC), Virginia Tech. Currently, he is with the Energy Engineering Department at the German Jordanian University as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include energy efficient conversion, power electronic converters design and control for renewable energy systems, digital control and optimization, Microgrid applications, and high performance motor drives.
