Lessons learnt from a massive retrofit of driver's cab to integrate ETCS

Mr Miglianico is graduated from the Ecole Centrale (EC) of Lille, France. He was involved in several projects of software. Then he directed a department in charge of methodologies and Tools for software development. He managed the development of a metro simulator for training drivers. He participated to European projects Modtrain/EUCAB and EUDD+ as project leader in charge of providing the testing environment including the desk, the training simulator and the locomotive. He is the leader of Alstom Transport experts network in Ergonomics and Human Machine Interface. He is in charge of the Ergonomics and Human factors activities, leading several assessments of driver’s desk, displays and automatic train supervision systems. He is convenor of the CEN TC256/SC3 working group 37 on driver’s cab. He is also the topical group speaker of UNIFE cab group (UNIFE is representing the European rail manufacturing industry).
