Contemporary economic literature examines the relationship between trade theory and income inequality. My research expands on previous literature and focuses on the relationship between trade policy (specifically trade liberalization) and income inequality. Using data from the World Bank, I examine the relationship of tariffs reductions and income inequality. The purpose of this research is to expand upon current empirical literature analyzing trade theory and its effects on income inequality by differentiating between net growth and the effects of trade liberalization on income inequality.
