My transportation center for the town of Middlebury is a space for the community- a link between a high traffic district and nature, physically acting as a creator of an intimate outdoor space, while guiding visitors through to explore it. My intention is to transform this hidden site in the center of town into a welcoming place for travel, and a space to spend time indoors and out. In addition to providing connections to ACTR and Amtrak, as well as accommodating other pedestrian and vehicular traffic, my design encompasses landscaping of the surrounding area, and waterfront development that will make the area more inviting and appealing.
