I will present excerpts from a long-form creative writing piece I completed for my Spanish 433 class in the fall of 2016.  It is a fairytale called El Estanque that explores the boundaries of the traditional fairytale and subverts common fairytale tropes, twisting the norms of love interests, magic and unambiguous happy endings.
