INVESTIGATION OF CO2 CAPTURE IN NATURAL GAS COMBINED CYCLES WITH SELECTIVE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION

MARIA ELENA DIEGO

University of Sheffield

Maria Elena Diego de Paz is a research associate at the University of Sheffield. Her research interests are in the area of low-carbon technologies for energy generation from fossil fuels, biomass and waste, and CO2 emission reduction from industrial processes. She obtained her PhD in 2014 at INCAR-CSIC, where she worked in the area of CO2 capture using calcium looping. In 2016 she joined the Energy 2050 team at the University of Sheffield. Her current research focuses on CO2 capture from natural gas combined cycles using amine scrubbing, looking for new options to optimize the process and reduce capture cost.
