Debangsu Bhattacharyya is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University, USA. He has authored/co-authored more than 70 research papers and book chapters, 130 oral presentations and 50 poster presentations. He is a co-author of the popular chemical engineering design book, “Analysis, Synthesis, and Design of Chemical Processes”. He is a member of the prestigious 2015 and 2016 R&D 100 winning teams. His research interests are in the area of advanced modeling and simulation of energy-generating systems including CO2 capture processes, smart-grid, uncertainty quantification, fault diagnosis, sensor placement, biomimetic control, and advanced manufacturing.
