She investigates academic writing, automated formative assessment of writing, systemic functional linguistics, and corpus linguistics. Her work has appeared in journals such as Computer-Assisted Language Learning and CALICO.

Hui-Hsien Feng is a postdoctoral research associate at Iowa State University. Sheholds an MA in TESOL at Ohio State University and a PhD in Applied Linguisticsand Technology at Iowa State University.
