I am Professor of Education at the University of East Anglia. I previously worked as teacher trainer and ethnographer in the field of literacy, gender and development (particularly in Nepal), including policy-focused research for UNESCO, USAID and other development agencies.

British Association for Literacy in Development

Juliet McCaffery has worked in literacy and education for 35 years in many countries including England, the USA, Africa and the Indian sub continent. She has a PhD from Sussex University. Her research is on the education of marginalised communities.
