Working method:
Topic introduction will be made by three expert presentation giving different views of the theme from Finland, Sweden and Morocco. After the introductions the discussion will continue in small groups which are given different topics to discuss. The experts giving introduction to the topic will be part of the workshop discussion. After the 25 minutes small group discussion the topics are summarized by the moderators (15 minutes). At the end there will be 15 minutes common discussion on the issues pointed out and other related general issues.

Workshop ambition:
To learn what possibilities alternative materials offer in mining environment and what should consider when using these materials. To learn different kind of applications in other countries. To get knowledge how this very demanding environmental issue should be solved in environmentally and economically feasible way.
