The workshops focuses on legislation and technical issues concerning implementation of circular economy concept for management of municipal services. Speakers will present case studies on how circular economy is implemented into municipal companies policies in regards of new Krakow Development Strategy 2030. Moreover the possibilities of phosphorous recovery from primary and secondary sources (i.e. wastewater, sewage sludge ash, biomass) will be analysed as a result of InPhos project financed by EIT Raw Materials – a body of EU.

The objective of the workshop is to provide participants practical knowledge on circular economy concept realised through local and regional regulations and strategies. Moderators will provide overall introduction to the topics of circular economy in cities, including technical, environmental, economic and social issues related to phosphorous management. During the workshop the participants will be involved in team work with moderators and the PESTLE analysis (political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, legal and environmental factors used in the environmental scanning component of strategic management).
