Working method:
Topic introduction will be made by two expert presentation giving different views of the theme. After the introductions the discussion will continue in small groups which are given different topics to discuss. The experts giving introduction to the topic will be part of the workshop discussion. After the 25 minutes small group discussion the topics are summarized by the moderators (15 minutes). At the end there will be 15 minutes common discussion on the issues pointed out and other related general issues.

Workshop ambition:
Discover possibilities for both contaminated and uncontaminated dredged sediment utilization with different in-situ and ex-situ applications. The topic introductions highlight the utilization of dredged sediments in port construction with case examples, however, experiences from novel utilization applications and treatment methods are to be discussed during the workshop.

Large variety of alternative materials can be utilized in port construction. Different applicable materials and techniques are introduced, discussed and evaluated in the workshop to find co-operation and development possibilities.
