A study has provided a representative overview of content and leachability of potentially problematic substances in the crushed concrete and tiles from demolition and renovation of Danish buildings and facilities. This paper presents some of the results on the content of inorganic trace elements and TOC and some organics and the leaching of trace elements and DOC at L/S = 2 l/kg for crushed concrete. Together with a subsequent modelling study the data produced are intended to support a potential future revision of the environmental regulation of
recycling of crushed concrete and tiles for use in construction works.
