Russ Krauss is Executive Vice President, New Markets & Strategic Solutions. Russ joined RES in 2008 as VP, Business Development. He is responsible for providing leadership to the company’s business development, marketing, research, analysis, compliance and bonding activities.Russ has over 30 years of experience developing new markets in technical, support, sales and marketing roles. Early in his career, Russ acted in technical support and marketing capacities with Marathon Oil, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Cray Research. He implemented successful global distribution channel and technology alliance programs with Sun Microsystems and BMC Software and acquired management experience as VP, Marketing with energy industry services and technology providers Knowledge Reservoir, LP and Object Reservoir, Inc. Russ also served as chief operating officer with law enforcement technology firm and led a publicly-traded holding company.Russ holds a BA in Geology from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Houston. He publishes and speaks about addressing the environmental impacts faced by commercial and government developers and on technical and regulatory issues related to wetlands and ecosystem restoration. Russ served on the Board of Directors at the National Mitigation Banking Association as a participant then chair of the Marketing Committee from 2011-2013, Secretary in 2012 and Treasurer in 2013.
