Sunbird Biological Consultants is a woman owned small business specializing in wildlife biology, conservation, and management; environmental permitting and compliance; and GIS services. With a focus in the western U.S., Sunbird serves energy, infrastructure, and government clients. Katy Reagan, Principal of Sunbird, holds a M.S. in Natural Resource Management and a B.S. in Wildlife Biology. Ms. Reagan has developed a diverse technical and regulatory background through more than 14 years of experience executing and managing environmental projects. She has experience in various survey techniques for analyzing and monitoring wildlife and habitats in the U.S. and internationally. Ms. Reagan has knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, and has experience in preparation of an assortment of biological resources reports and other documents in accordance with National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, and Clean Water Act. Ms. Reagan is a Certified Wildlife Biologist through The Wildlife Society. Ms. Reagan works with a range of ecological experts including researchers, government officials, non-governmental organization representatives, industry professionals, and an extensive network of other consultants. Since 2014, Ms. Reagan has been leading bat surveys at Ikh Nart Nature Reserve, Dornogovi, Mongolia. This project is supported by Denver Zoological Foundation, EarthWatch, and several Mongolian universities. Ms. Reagan recently also began coordination with the Mongolian Wind Energy Association.
