Nanoclusters of self-assembled quantum dots driven by fluorine-fluorine interactions as delivery platform for enzymes

Carolina Carrillo Carrion

Bioengineered Particles Group, CIC biomaGUNE

Dr. Carrillo-Carrion graduated in Chemistry from the University of Córdoba (Spain) in 2006 and obtained her PhD in 2011 at the Analytical Chemistry Department (University of Córdoba) finishing with doctorate extraordinary award. In 2012 she worked in a biotech company as responsible of the analytical and R&D departments. She joined the group of Prof. Dr. Parak in the Phillips-University Marburg (Germany) in 2013 as Humboldt-postdoctoral fellow. Since November 2015 she is at biomaGUNE (San Sebastian,Spain) as Juan de la Cierva-Incorporacion fellow. In 2018 she will move to CIQUS (Santiago de Compostela,Spain) as she has been awarded a Marie Curie fellowship.

Abstract

Introduction Self-assembled NPs are considered as one of the most promising nanosystems to deliver drugs and biological molecules such as enzymes for therapeutic applications. Non-covalent hydrophobic interactions play an... [ view full abstract ]
