Synthetic hydrogels based on hybrid physically-chemically cross-linked networks

Maxime Grillaud

Eindhoven University of Technology

Maxime Grillaud obtained his Master’s degree in Chemistry and Nanosciences from the University of Bordeaux, including a work on the functionalization of gold nanoparticles in Prof. Didier Astruc group. After the graduation, he completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Strasbourg under the guidance of Dr. Alberto Bianco. His work related to synthesis and characterization of adamantane-based dendrons for gene and drug delivery. Maxime currently works as post-doc in Dr. Patricia Dankers group at the department of Biomedical Engineering in Eindhoven University of Technology. His research goals focus on the design of synthetic hydrogels for drug delivery.

Many polymers with different types of cross-linking have been designed to develop various hydrogels for industrial and fundamental applications. In particular, they have attracted significant interest in the field of... [ view full abstract ]
